My Actifit Report Card: June 26 2019
My evening actifit post methods of transport around NY
Most days I have no idea what to get shots of with my phone while out walking for my Actifit post, and snap this and that and eventually decide on a theme for my post, today was a little different as soon as I took my first shot I knew what I would focus on today and that is methods of transportation around the city
Starting with this shot I took on the 6 Subway train, now you may think thats not as crowded as you have seen, this shot was taken at about 6:30 Am this morning, An hour or less later this train would have been packed like a can of sardines, I decided to jump of the Metro North Train at 125th Street and take the subway half way to the office and then walk the rets of the way.
And Just to clarify I didn't actually jump off a moving train I just stepped off s normal when the train stopped at the station

Of course I could not do a post related to transport in NYC without a shot of a Yellow Taxi

A relatively new way of getting round the city are these bikes you can rent for while to ride around the city, that have these bike stands spread all around the city you swipe your card take a bike and return it within the timeframe at another one of this locations around the city.

Of course that are many cars and bikes around the city, so I had to get a shot of this cool bike to include them in this post

One thing I am seeing ore and more of in the city are eBikes such as this one made by Trek

I guess a lot of people do online ordering of groceries for delivery, but he number of carts outside this supermarket I saw this morning

Another common site in the city is to see bikes chained up somewhere some are trusting and leave the whole bike outside, others as I suspect is the case with this one they take thee wheel that is not chained up and the seat into their work building with them.

Of course talking about transport in NYC I cannot miss a shot of a bus,, I should perhaps have shared this earlier but I am just sharing the shot sin the order i got them today

Now I am sharing more shots than I normally do in these posts but I liked all these shots and they do fit with the transportation theme so I shared these all, now it’s last one may be stretching it but I thought with the graffiti on this trolley and the shopping cart I would keep and share this one as well

The one with the chained bikes is interesting. Usually I see the front wheel taken off and inside, not the rear one.

Ohh it gets a lot busier, it was quiet when I went on it this morning normally the trains are packed and you have to squeeze in
We have scooters in Hoboken, are there in Manhattan too? It’s been like 3 months since I didn’t step in NYC.
Scooters you can hire I dont think they have those just the bikes like the ones i showed

LOl no I used to be fit, now I am fat doing all the steps and dieting to try and lose weight ;)
