My Actifit Report Card: July 31 2019

Nautical

For this evenings acifit post I share some photos taken with my iPhone, this morning I detoured on the way to work up on the westide by the Hudson River and got some shots with a nautical or water theme to share with this evenings post.I had a couple of early Meetings this morning so couldn’t walk as far this morning before work and didn't get my 10K in before 10AM, but did get a good step count in today with the morning walk and walked between various buildings for meetings today

I had not noticed this boat before and from the signs it seemed It is a boat you can go out on enjoy the sights have a few drinks and as the name implies eat Lobsters

Next up a smaller working boat with this little Tug that was docked just in the front of the Big Lobster Company ship.

And from a smalll working boat lets go to a speed demon, The Beast, another tour boat in the city that you have the thril of speed while seeing the sights from the water

And here we have one of the Circle Line Boats which take people out on sightseeing cruises around Manhattan and past the Statue of Liberty and a more sedate pace than the Beast does.

And this is the main reason I went to this area this morning to see and get some shots of the Intrepid which is an aircraft carrier now turned into a museum, I went on it years ago and its well worth checking out if you ever visit NYC

And another shot of it from right in front, standing looking up at it really gives you a good feel for how huge it is

Sticking with nautical I saw this big ship propeller as I was walking back across Manhattan

And although not Nautical this last shot is water related a row of Poland Spring water delivery trucks on a street

I was going to say, that Lobster boat looks more like a ferry than a fishing boat. That makes sense that they would offer tours and stuff like that with a nice Lobster dinner. Mmmm, now I am hungry for some lobster. I have decided that I want to try crab cakes someday too.

I occasionally have crab cakes from a local deli for lunch there nice for a change, I think it’s a cool idea how they have marketed the Lobster boat t be a bit different from other sightseeing trips onthe water

I just downloaded it and I made my husband download it too as his Samsung health says he walks like 6 miles a day!!!! So I told he needed to start snapping pics at work lol

Great shots and a very interesting post! I remember that Circle line. It has been around for a while. The Beast looks too much like a gator for my liking. Lol!

Wow man. Nice count again making me feel lazy. I was like that Beast ship is super cool and then you pull out the aircraft carrier and it was game over for the coolest photo. Good job man.
