My Actifit Report Card: August 1 2019

Street Art

For this evenings acifit post I share some photos taken with my iPhone on my morning walk before work.
It as a little cooler than the heat of the last few days so I decided to head downtown to the First Street Green Art Park and see what new art was there, and these are a few shots while walking to the park, or from the park to the office.

I did manage to do the 10K steps before 10AM so achieved the #automaticwin today and will include a screenshot showing that at the end of the post

quick question I have no idea where to go fir a Walk tomorrow if the weather is good before work is there anywhere in NYC you would like to see photos of?

I did take plenty of shots with my camera of the art at the first street green but I will just share a couple of shots of some of the art I this post such as this shot

This next shot shows some of the area with the murals in this park

I have taken a shot of art above this subway entrance before but I noticed this morning the graffiti has been changed I have no idea what be the brick is about

Now not so much art or murals but there is also a lot of tagging around the city, such as over this what used to be a menu board for a restaurant that is closed

But some doorways have murals on them such as the roller doors on this shop with a cool design

And as mentioned above here is a screenshot showing I had over 10K steps by a little after 9 am this morning

I had another busy day with having to go to a few buildings to get some things sorted out so actually hit 20K today, tomorrow should be a quieter day for me

I enjoyed all the downtown street art in this post!

About the “Be the brick” statement. Perhaps it’s a reference to Pink Floyd’s We Don’t Need No Education. I recall something along the lines of the lyrics saying, “All in all, your just another brick in the wall,”. Perhaps that’s to voice the opposite opinion of the song?

That’s my best 2 Steem worth of thought on the matter!

Today was a huge step day for all! What is it about Thursday? Street art has gotten crazy this summer, many no rhyme or reason, other than letting it out a little bit. As always, your walks bring to my doorstep a piece of beauty, entertainment or the sheer joy of getting out and about.

St. Patricks Cathedral
Frick Museum- I love that place and you can photograph in there without flash
Dumbo I cannot remember the last time I got that shot! Le sigh.

Thank you and you know that you always post the most awesome stuff and I still didn't get over to see Alice in Wonderland.. but, I will!!!

Not sure what it is about Thursday’s they are often my biggest step day

It’s raining according to the forecast in NYC and May rain till 9 so not sure if I will get a walk this morning but let’s see how it goes
I have walked past the Frisk but never been in there I should do that sometime
And of course I love Dumbo
