Monochrome Monday at Gulf Beach
For this weeks Monochrome Monday post which is hosted by @oldguyphotos, I thought I would share some shots at my favorite and closest local beach, Gulf Beach.

This was taken the last time I got to the beach a couple of weeks ago just after I bought my new camera, I haven't got back to the beach since, haven't had much luck with nice weather when I have time to get to the beach.
It was a nice day as can be seen by this couple relaxing on the beach.

And this spot is my favorite spot at the beach especially in the evenings on a warm summers day when the main beach is so crowded, this spot is normally very quiet.
This is at the end of the beach as I walked past the Lifeguard tower in the previous shot.

Work is in NYC though, right? That is a vacation for some. I was thinking I would take the wednesday walk photos at the beach ... so I will be working too ... lol:)
Yes, I workin NYC a place many visit for vacation, but working here you get used to it, and I have to admit its just I dont want to be in the offic eon a nice day I want to be at the beach or exploring the city taking photos :)

Looks like a great location for a bit of fishing off of the jetty.
It's weird how some beaches are busy and right next door they are empty?
Reminds me of Bondi beach which is packed and Coogee beach which is empty?
I wonder why this happens?

Thanks and yes i have often wondered the same, was similar at a few beaches back home in NZ as well
I think in this case the main beach is just that a beach but where the people are fishing is actually where the river is heading out to the ocean
