Reflecting on Sepia Saturday

Happy Saturday everyone and as it is Saturday time for a Sepia Saturday post for the challenge hosted by @old-guy-photos.
This is a challenge I enjoy joining I love how Sepia Images have a sort of timeless feel to them, that said I seldom did Sepia till this challenge started, but now I try and make it a regular thing for my Saturday morning post, and with how I do love colorful images and share a lot of them, it makes a nice change on my feed

For this weeks post, as the title implies I am doing some sepia reflection shots I came across in the city

But not my normal reflection shots in the city with the reflections being on the buildings for this post they are reflections in Puddles
These are all taken on the Edge of Central Park not far from the Plaza Hotel, which is reflected in the puddle on the right of this first shot

And this is the same puddle from the other side.

And for the last shot in a different puddle i went with a sepia style shot again and added a splash of color with the stop signs, for no other reason than I felt like doing it that way

Humanizesteem

You may have noticed I am using the tag humanizesteem, I came across it in a post by @blueeyes8960, where she said

Don't you love it when someone reads your content and makes a valuable comment, showing that they actually read it and enjoyed it? It makes me feel fantastic for someone to leave an honest heartfelt comment. Votes are great, don't get me wrong - I appreciate every one! - but I love to hear from you. And that's what #humanizesteem is out to promote. Human interaction. Please feel free to use the tag or explore posts under the tag.

Looking at posts with the tag it seems it is an initiative by @jeanlucsr to make Steem more human, and a great idea I think, so I will be using it often :)

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

You are so talented! I can't even decide which one is my favorite! Any of these could be made into posters! Have a great Saturday!

Thanks thats so kind of you to say, its a hobby I have fun with but it is nice when my photos are appreciated :)

Happy #SepiaSaturday!!

I really love doing sepia too, although I have do a bit of a problem finding that timeless touch that many of you seem to find without a problem. Perhaps it's just the way I look at it.

That is an absolutely fabulous Sofia reflection, especially with it being in a puddle! You have a very good eye details such as this. I like the second one also, probably because of the lamp post and the double decker bus flanking the puddles, and to be honest with you I'm really in love with the last one probably because of the colour-pop but the buildings in the puddle look really cool. Okay I've gone ahead and said it because it's true. I think I'm just in love with the polls and the amazing things that you do with them. They may be puddles but it's the way you point and shoot.

I do like the idea of humanizing steem and I applaud you for using this tag and spreading it around. It's a great initiative and a great idea. As always I hope you have a most wonderful dau!

Thank you for being such a wonderful host and guide for #SteemUSA!

I was happy when I saw this big puddle I had to try and get some shots of it, although I did get funny looks getting down low by the puddle to get the angle I wanted but i am at the stage when I really am not bothered with people looking at me in a funny way

Thanks for such a supportive and kind comment :) and of course for the tip :)
I had a real quiet day today which was probably good for me, and now trying to get going on doing some editing so I have photos for the coming weeks posts :)

I am so backwardly slow today. I was edging and pruning and dead heading everything... and now, if I don't get cracking, #MarketFriday people will quit me!

Hehe... I can squat down to the ground so they don't look quite as funny at me, but, I know they want to. :)

You needed a quiet day. Oh, wait! I need a quiet day.

Yes you do need an easy day, Have hardly been on my computer all day Lulu wasn't having a good day so I spent a lot of time watching shows with her and being my clown self to try and build her up, and no regrets for doing that it was also a good relaxing day for me:), with my Knees if I try squatting down low I struggle to get back up LOL

Hey!! That would stop me! I was a gymnast for years and have kept up the stretching exercises which fade when you stop.

You are a good husband and it is nice to see a couple sharing their day like this. It really is.

We still have such fun even when she is not well she appreciates my crazy sense of humor :)

Awesome shots. These are the types of things I could see hanging on the wall in my house or office. I really like all three of these!

Thanks that’s so kind of your to say :)

NYC looks pretty in Sepia, JJ. Fantastic work:)

Thanks I think for some areas and subjects in NYC they look better in Sepia than in color

It does make things look a little more POSH

Yes that's a good word for it Posh or refined ;)

You really managed some unique photos with that puddle. Love them, especially in Sepia.

Thanks it was fun to get some shots with this big puddle ;)

The pictures are very cool. Before reading the content, I took a look at all of the pictures and thought the first one was upside down. After reading the content I realized it was a reflection.
The red stop signs in the last photo add a little twist to the photo, I don't know how you did that but I really like.
The tag #humanizesteem is new to me but I think it is a great idea.
Speaking only for myself, all content that catches my eye, i will read in total, many times there are hidden gems in the written word, weather it be something funny, or something new to me.
I understand that time is precious, and that many poeple will not read the written word, but most posts only take a few minutes to read.
I will also be including this tag in the future.

As always, thanks for sharing.

Thaks for your visit and feedback, as for the tag I agree and I do the same, if I am going to upvote a post on my feed, I need to open it and read it first, and I feel if I do that the least I can do is also leave a comment relevant to the post
'And as someone said to me in a comment, this is a social Media site we should be social :)

🎁 Hi @tattoodjay! You have received 0.1 SBD tip from @dswigle!

@dswigle wrote lately about: Take A Little Sunshine, Of Mine Feel free to follow @dswigle if you like it :)

Sending tips with @tipU - how to guide :)

These look awesome Jay and great idea on the reverse reflection! I'm still working on honing in the sepia color as I know I like to go a little dark sometimes. Resteemed!! :)

For me sepia is a Browned maybe yellowish aged look to it, but i dotn think there really is any right or wrong its what you feel works with the image :)

Ahh..okay! Thanks for the input! 😊

Most welcome like many areas of photography I don't feel there is a right or wrong, many people have fixed ideas but I say just go with the flow :)
