The Memorial bridge

I have posted a few shots of or taken on the Memorial Bridge in downtown Milford but I don't think I have ever shared some detail shots of the bridge so that is what I will do in this post, Starting with this mono shot looking at one side of the bridge, with the old style tower and the SBC Restaurant in the background and one of the memorial features on this platform.

Just behind the Inscription for Thomas Tibbals are these two Mill stones and meorials to a couple of the founders of Milford, the Bridge was built in 1889 to honor the founders and native americans from the area

And this tablet is to honor the Wopowage Indians

Another one of the Memorial stones, I always find myself stopping and reading the name son the stone son this bridge, there are so many of them, and thinking how different life was back when they founded Milford.

and finishing off with a shot of these two Towers, the original one in the background built with the bridge, and the new one on the building in the foreground

That's an intersting one. It almost looks like something you'd see in Europe, possibly attached to a castle. Funny that they didn't build the new tower with the same materials as the older one.

Yeah a lot of this area has a European feel to it,I think the two towers were built over 100 years or more apart so that could be why they are different

That's quite interesting. I think its cool to learn bits of historical knowledge from other locales. Just did a post on it myself. I really like all these pictures, however the last one portrays a great angle those buildings
