The Wing of the Occulus

The Wing of the Occulus

I have done a few posts of the Oculus Centre also known as part of the World Trade Center transportation hub, but for this post, I will share a few shots of what I call the wing of the oculus
Starting with this close in shot of it, the whole design of the building is pretty impressive and worth checking out if you ever visit NYC, but for me its these wings that stand out the most.

Now zooming out a little bit you can see the Brookfield place in the distance another cool place to visit they have a nice indoor park inside that big glass enclosure.
Also in this shot on the left is Century 21 a huge shopping center, which has all kinds of clothing and accessories and very popular the one time I have been in there it was so crowded, I know others don't mind that but I hate crowds so it is not my style of shopping :)

And for this last shot I moved back a block for this wider angle shot showing one of the entrances to the Fulton Street Station, a fairly new station very upscale and stylish

Humanizesteem

You may have noticed I am using the tag humanizesteem, I came across it in a post by @blueeyes8960, where she said

Don't you love it when someone reads your content and makes a valuable comment, showing that they actually read it and enjoyed it? It makes me feel fantastic for someone to leave an honest heartfelt comment. Votes are great, don't get me wrong - I appreciate every one! - but I love to hear from you. And that's what #humanizesteem is out to promote. Human interaction. Please feel free to use the tag or explore posts under the tag.

Looking at posts with the tag it seems it is an initiative by @jeanlucsr to make Steem more human, and a great idea I think, so I will be using it often :)

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

The zoomed out shot looks like a digital mock up of the real thing! I'm not sure what it is that makes me think that though! The brightness of the colours?

Yes I do see what you mean even though i had not noticed that before it could be the colors indeed

Really cool pics today @tattoodjay! I used to work for Brookfield at one point. It was a great job. Silly me for giving it up. Oh well! I did find the job i love after that. Though it does not 9ay nearly as well nor does it have the same degree of benefits. Great Steeming! And, awesome 1st place in the Engagement Leagues this week! Woohoo!!

Thanks, that would have been a nice place to work its a beautiful building, I generally only visit there over Winter with the lights and stuff at that time of year its so cool to walk around.
Thanks its always a cool feeling doing well in the engagement league, it is a pleasant surprise when I see myself up near or at the top of it ;)

Well, when i worked for Brookfield, it was for a part of the company that built new homes in Calgary. I actually worked out of a job shack and it had port-o-potties for washrooms!! Very unglamerous 😂 Haha I have not even been to NYC yet!

Cheers!!

Ohh OK I misunderstood, that work style doesn't sound as glamorous as the building in NY is lOL

humanizesteem... how cool!

I always felt we/I sometimes rush through posts and life trying to get as much done... I am guilty of that! And I hate it! I love lingering and browsing, which somehow modern life does not encourage... Which is why I always felt people don't read posts, my posts, much... But sometimes I don't really blame them. Anyway, just an observation...

And these... I love how the "wing" pokes out in between modern day buildings and structures, seemingly calling to your attention, "Heyyy, come look at me!" :)

Yes I think we all get caught with the lack of time and do not read as many posts as we would love to, part of the trouble is there are so many posts we want to read on here, I am lucky in that I am a speed reader but still I cannot keep up with them all
I love your take on the wing :)

Next time I go to New York, I will check out the Occulus Center and the indoor park.

It’s welll worth checking out in my opinion

It is a really impressive structure. I have really been enjoying your different perspectives of it!

I wasn’t actually planning shots of it that morning was heading somewhere else but when I saw it at this angle I had to get some shots

Congratulations, Your Post Has Been Added To The Steemit Worldmap!

I just love the composition 😍

The architect knew what they were doing. The photographer as well of course 😊.

From an artistic perspective I like the zoomed in version more. The zoomed out version does provide more of a storyline.

I fI was going to just share one photo it would have been the zoomed in one, but I like to have at least a few photos in my posts, Mainly because I am not great and writing to go with the photos for the most part lOL

I think including the extra photos works quite well tbh.

Wow. I am just seeing the image for the first time

It is such a cool building from any angle, I have done a few posts with shots of it from other angles or inside it
