Story Time: Real solutions to problems
A group of people worked in a software firm. It was a group of 30 people. This was a youthful, vibrant, and dynamic workforce that was eager to learn and grow. The management wanted to train the employees how to solve real-world challenges.
The team was summoned to a banquet hall to play a game. The party was taken aback when they were summoned to play a game. Everyone arrived at the event with different ideas. As they reached the hall, they discovered it brilliantly decorated with colorful ornamental papers and balloons all over the place. It felt more like a playground than a formal conference space.
Everyone was surprised and looked at each other. A large box of balloons was also placed in the center of the hall. The team leader instructed everyone to take a balloon from the package and blow it up. Everyone had a good time picking a balloon and blowing it up. The team leader then instructed everyone to carefully put their names on their balloons so that they did not blow up. Everyone attempted to write their names on the balloons, but not everyone succeeded. Due to pressure, a couple balloons burst out, and they were given another chance to use another balloon.
Those who did not mark their names even after being given a second chance were eliminated from the game. Following the second opportunity, 25 employees were eligible for the next stage. All of the balloons were collected and placed in a room. The team leader instructed the employees to proceed to the room and select the identical balloon with his name on it. He also urged them not to let any balloons go up in the air and to be extremely cautious!
All 25 employees entered the room, where balloons with their names were strewn about. They were looking for the balloons with their names on them. They attempted not to burst the balloons as they rushed to find the appropriate balloons. It had been about 15 minutes and no one had found the balloon bearing his own name. The crew was informed that the second level of the game had concluded.
It is now time for the third and final level. They instructed the employees to choose any balloon in the room and present it to the person whose name was written on it. After a short time, all balloons were given to their respective employees whose names where on it, and everyone was in the hall. This is referred to be real solutions to problems, according to the team leader. Everyone is feverishly searching for solutions to problems without understanding the best approaches. Sharing and assisting others can often provide actual solutions to any difficulties.
