What I think about qurator

In daily qurator #514 it is asked to write something about qurator.

Qurator is posting daily
At least I think they do. You can read some posts of the day. I do check out some of them - if it is of my interest -, also to meet new people plus I am curious why qurator did pick out these content. To be honest I would not call everything good/great content, neither I did find the tag qurator back in it so???

I assume the writers join the discord group or pay or? Would be nice if @qurator would answer this question of mine. They did so please read there answer!

Just like many communities qurator has its own discord group.
If you like you can join it (too). It will surely cost you a lot of extra time.
For me it is not possible to join since my connection sucks. So I gave up on it.

You can invite a friend.
I assume by friend they mean people at steem and not your best friend who is not using steem. If I write here: I invite @myjob, @guysellars, @andyjem, @onnovocks, @hans001, @joelai, @johneyreacke, @lanzjoseg or @fitinfunfood it probably will not be enough to give them a hand or an upvote or?

To be honest I do not understand for the biggest part what they are talking about. This has also to do with the fact that 1 post contains so much different kind of information (and links) I get lost.
I would recommend a post for each subject to make it easier.

Bigger, better, monthly subs...
I assume it is something great, although it partly beats me what it is all about.
I read the mentioned daily qurator #514 3 times by now and I still do not understand how or what.

Contests
If you like to join a contest you can do so with qurator.
Tasty Tuesday I joined 2 or 3 times now. I never get much respond so I assume food for the common/poor people is not 'shining' or tasty enough? You can read my entry HERE. I can assure you it did taste great.
Toss up Thursday is some other contest you can join. I can not tell you more about it since I did not join it yet.
Photo Friday is an other contest. I believe I only joined it once some weeks ago.

I noticed the posts for the contests are seldom at the day mentioned (at least not with me). It is frequently 2 days later. So if you live in an other time dimension you have time to join

Being a member is a must to...
As I understand you need to be a member to join..?
It is not clear when you are a member. If you follow qurator? If you follow and join the discord group?

At the moment I can not tell you more about qurator. I am just a very, very small fish (kind of plankton) and found out about qurator thanks to @fitinfun her post. I am limited if it comes to posting. So have a look yourself, who know you understand more as I do.
