Happy Father's Day!
Father's Day originated in the United States. On June 19, 1910, the first Father's Day was celebrated in Spokane, Washington, unofficially. Sandra Dodd was the one who initiated this day. Her mother died delivering her sixth child and her father raised all six children by himself. In 1972, President Richard Nixon signed as law, declaring the third Sunday of June as Father's Day.
The greeting card maker, Hallmark states that Father's Day is the fifth largest card sending holiday in the world. The day is celebrated by giving Dad a gift, taking him out to dinner, or having a family dinner at home, or just by spending time with him. If you can't spend time with your father, at least give him a phone call and perhaps you can even pay for the call. The reason I say that is because according to wilstar.com, Father's Day holds the record for the most "collect phone calls." Isn't that crazy?

The sun also known as the father, moon and
earth mothers. Sun-day, 3rd Sunday in June
brings that day very close to summer solstice.

The brief story about the origin of the Father's day is excellent and the call to reflection is excellent, since sons and daughters must at least a phone call to the fathers in their day,
