Advent Story: Day 1
Christmas Eve. Old Queensbridge Station. The station is busy as the last train of the day pulls in and comes to a slow, churning stop. A long, loud expulsion of steam, followed shortly by the tell tale sound of the shrill engine whistle lets all know it is time to debark.
Within the station proper can be heard a merry cacophony of sounds; shoes and luggage cards clacking over the hardwood floor are drowned out by the voices of people calling across the station in greeting, issuing commands, or hailing a cab. Loved ones, recently disembarked from the train, rush to the loving and welcome embrace of waiting family members, all ready for a Christmas visit.
