A little further down the street, away from the hustle and bustle of the train station and the personal festivities surrounding the public houses, a slightly more subdued crowd takes refuge within the warm confines of an inn.
Spread across the main floor are multiple tables, each full with people chatting and conversing and enjoying a meal together. Old friends meet and share stories of old as well as more recent stories from the last year, each of which is met with laughter or concern when needed.
A few travelers, finishing up their meals and drinks, bid good night to their friends and make their way up to their rooms to enjoy a warm, quiet night before the festivities begin anew in the morning.

Day seven of Advent. Some people may not know that the word Advent comes from the Latin word for “arrival.” I celebrate Advent the entire way through and I am pretty sure that Sister Brendan Marie is probably looking down upon me in her knowing look. She knew she could break us. Ha! Thank you for taking us with you on your travels.
