AAR HoIIV: USA #1

So I started playing Hearts of Iron 4 as USA.

That's how I begin with research. Basic stuff.

I welcome all researchers from all over the world.

Purge starts in Soviet Union

Japan declares war. Now it gets interesting.

Because we can start with war propaganda

More war events in East Asia.

Bamm, so many leaders joining the war there.

But isn't the Marco Polo Bridge incident before the war?
hmm..

Also Default, Nationalist Spain wins.

And more joining the war in Asia

Italy builds claims on Yugoslavia

This is our current basic Infantry division design.

Anschluss happened, quite late?

Some Election in India

And the Fall of Nanjing

This is, where we stopped.
Pax Americana is finished, we have the option to go to war with Venezuela.
Of course we will do this.
Next time :)

Have a look at the world.
Seems not that changed, except Spain and China.

So, how was the first session?
Well, I have to admit, HoI4 is quite boring in the first year.
There is no action, no diplomacy, nothing that you can do, except screw up research and factory setup, which will haunt you in later game.
I am not sure, I will have more games of it, CK2 and EU4 are way better options for instant fun and gameplay.
But I will end this one. For good or worse!
