How I paint comics: The Techno-Templar #31

The next page of my surreal and sci-fi graphic-novel, painted with watercolour, thinliners and ballpoint pens. And this time a bit of digital.

In the previous page, Lenz, the doubting Techno-Templar, visits the memory of Devlok and whitnesses strange chips implantation in the brains of intronised aspirant Templars. But above all, he learns the involvment of their master, the Techno-Seneschal Traukn in a deal with ennemi A.I's!...

Page 31 was a peculiar challenge because of the concentration of panels (17), actions, transitions and amount of characters it comprises. I re-drawn 2 of the panels to replace their originals.

Let's see the beginning, the story-board.

For this page I also miss the penciling, so we're already mid way in the painting process and re-outlining.

Here, I forgot to remove the outline of this panel (which I itself also changed) to make it more timeless, as it is supposed to act as a transition, while Lenz get in touch with Devlok. But I am not sure if it really does the job anyway.

Again, the scenes in the Network, the background is digital. Hence it being empty.
