Actifit Daily #37: Steemit API Issues, Improved Website Soon, Top Actifitters, 92K+ SP Delegation
This daily post represents a compilation of the recent news and updates about our Actifit project, including top actifitters for the preceding day/voting cycle, as well as updates on our account and delegations !
Steemit API Issues
We have received several inquiries regarding posts which were not receiving upvotes/rewards via Actifit. The reason actually goes back to some troubles we have been intermittently facing during our voting rounds. Particularly the https://api.steemit.com API has been returning Gateway time out, which would cause our voting scripts to fail.
Today we were able to partially resume our voting/rewarding session, after stopping mid-way via via switching to a different node, and were able to reward the bulk of submitted Actifit posts until the other node also failed, which essentially means still there remains a portion of posts which are still pending reward.
Our voting bot is planned to run again tomorrow, and if we do not face troubles, all pending posts should receive an upvote.
We apologize for those issues beyond our control, and we will aim to implement more measures to help minimize their influence on our voting round, such as node switching and re-queueing.
Improved Website Soon
We have been working on more functionality and improved experience on our Actifit.io official website. We will not announce any details at the moment, yet expect in the coming few days to see some new functionality there.
Top 10 Actifitters
In total, our recent voting included 173 submissions with successful proof of activity, (the numbers are skewed a bit due to around 30 pending posts from yesterday, but this still shows as increased count overall), out of which 106 got the max 10,000 movements or more.
As explained above and due to a steemit gateway error, not all posts were voted, and the latest 30 or so posts did not receive an upvote/reward. Those post will be upvoted within tomorrow's iteration/rewarding batch.
Our top scorer with the most activity count for yesterday was @shashiprabha, with 29999 activity count!
Our second top actifiter was @mcyusuf with 28584 activity.

Delegations
We received an increase in over 1K SP since yesterday, taking our SP beyond 92K, thanks to some new/increased delegations. The list of delegators since yesterday included:

We are always on the lookout for more delegations to be able to better support our project and award actifitters.
Keep in mind that delegators earn daily Actifit tokens with a 1:1 match to their delegated SP, as well as a 5% beneficiary reward from actifit posts. So if you delegate 500 SP, you earn daily 500 Actifit tokens (up to a max total cap of 100,000 Actifit tokens per day).
To delegate, you can use any of the following links below

Hey Bossman! Yeah, I just needed something to get me motivated, tokens and upvotes sound alright to me lol:)) But for real tho, happy I've found this so I can spend less time behind the computer and move my arse more! Hope more people see it that way...

Getting close to 100K SP that is insane! How awesome. I guess fitness isn't dead yet and this app is catching on like wildfire.. Amazing!

I'm not sure if this would help with the API issues you are facing, but would breaking the whole batch in much smaller batches to vote, with idle periods between them help? Maybe the nodes become overloaded and this measure helps spread the load in time.

We were able to get the voting completed properly today.
Node issues are random and sometimes more than one is affected. Our voting process is not that intensive, we wait at least 30 seconds between votes, but certainly a good option to consider for an ultimate solution.
I didn't know you wait between votes, that's a great idea. My notifications come immediately one after the other, mostly, but I suppose it depends on how the notification service reads them.
