ちょっと緊張しています。
皆さま、是非色々アドバイスください。

さて、これまで、市販のものを購入して納得したものに出会えていないものNo.1がブックカバーです。
先日も「本の大きさに合わせて調整出来るブックカバー」というものを購入しましたが、どうにも使い勝手が悪くて、せっかく購入したのに使わずじまい。

今年は資格試験のための参考書を持ち歩く事が多くなるので、専用のブックカバーを自作する事にしました。

表布と裏布を裁断しました。
この表布に刺繍を施します。

樋口愉美子さんという刺繍作家の刺繍の本から図案を選びました。
試験の成績がぐんぐん伸びていくように願って、大きく育つ木をチョイス。

I have made a wish. I wish the grades of the qualification exam will grow gradually. So we chose a tree design that grew big.

これはチェーンステッチメインの作品です。
チェーンステッチは基本のステッチです。
でも同じ調子でステッチしていくのってなかなか難しいですねぇ。

幹と枝が仕上がりました。
来週は枝に葉っぱをつけて花を咲かせます(^^)
