An Afternoon at Fairmont Park - My Actifit Report Card: June 4 2019
We went for a morning walk and got in an automaticwin. It was a nice cool morning, barely 70 degrees. Perfect for walking.
We left shortly after that for Fairmont Park which featured Horse Hooky Tuesday, with live racing all afternoon. It was a First Thursday Luncheon of my postal retirees' group. (Held on Tues this time instead of Thurs, since that's the day that Fairmont has racing.) Neither @crypt-skip or I had ever been to a horse race track, so it was a fun outing. We made a few fun wagers, based solely on the intriguing names of the horses since we have no knowledge of the racing world. The net outcome was a $1 loss - big spender, right? I wanted to make a bet for $7.77 but they wouldn't let me, lol.
After the track, we went to Cahokia Mounds to do some walking and climbing. I did my #seven77 video in front of the Interpretative Center, which was closed today. Here's the LINK.
This is the view from the top of Monks Mound. The arch is the famous Gateway to the West Arch in St Louis.
@crypt-skip actually ran up the first set of these steps for his #seven77 video.

Great stepping 💪 and fantastic pictures 😍. I have never been to a race course but it sure looks like lots of fun😎. We have race course in my city but it is quite far from where I live😱 and never been invited.
