My Actifit Report Card: September 17 2018

I’ve been getting up between 5 AM and 6 AM for a long time now, but it’s never something that I’ve ever committed to.

Recently, though, I’ve decided that getting up everyday at least an hour earlier than the people around me, which is usually 5:00, is best for me, and so I’ve committed to doing this weekday or weekend, early night or late night, rain or shine.

Last night, my family and I spent the night at a friend’s house. It was the first time I got to put my commitment to the test. Being a guest at someone else’s house can be a little awkward when it comes to mornings, but this morning, despite being up late the night before and despite drinking a fair amount of beer, I got up at 5:20 without the use of an alarm and immediately went out for a walk.

I debated whether or not it would be better to stay in bed, but I’m glad that I didn’t. Now I feel a little stronger, personally, and even more dedicated to what I’m viewing as a lifetime commitment.

The pictures in this post are from my morning walk. The lighting wasn’t great, so the pictures aren’t very special, but these are some of the things that caught my eye. I hope you’ll enjoy them.
