My Actifit Report Card: December 4 2018

When I set out on my walk this morning I wasn’t sure if I wanted to take my regular route or my long route. The first part is the same, heading over to Maurie Jacobs Park and the Owen Rose Garden, the difference is whether I head home after the rose garden or continue to the next park. I had mostly decided to be lazy and take the regular route, but when I was about to start heading back from the rose garden Pokémon Go gave me a notification about a raid starting at the veterans’ memorial in Skinner Butte Park. It was a Snorunt raid which is a pokemon that I don’t see too often but which has a possibility of being shiny so I decided to head down there after all. Then when I started heading home one of the gyms in Maurie Jacobs Park had a Shinx raid running, which also has a shiny chance, so I decided to fight that, too. I didn’t get a shiny from either raid, but that’s not a huge surprise because it’s still really rare to encounter a shiny even as a reward for winning a raid.

In other Pokémon Go news, they posted a preview of the PvP battle system that will be launching soon. The most interesting element to me was that it says that one of the rewards for participating can be “rare evolution items”. Sinnoh Stones, perhaps?
