Fitness Diary: It ain't over till I say it's over!

in #actifit5 years ago (edited)

First training session of the week. 6-mile run, and then about a 5-mile walk including walking 0.7 miles of that with a 10kgs Kettlebell ( bought it at a local shop and am too cheap to get a taxi). Tomorrow is weight training, next week is back to boxing and I hope that by the end of April I will be back running 10 mile runs.

However, when I was running, I got to thinking about getting back to my normal level of fitness and getting my life back together after a horrendous year (2018) which near ended me.

We all go through adversity, some of us are still fighting battles. It's important to be kind to others but to also have firm boundaries as to what you will tolerate from others.

We all get knocked down, just now. I am broke and am struggling to pay my rent, whilst finding ways to pay for aid/education projects in Iraq. I've put on 25lbs from several months of illness, antibiotics, and stress. Life is not pleasant at the moment, but guess what, it aint over till the bell rings.I ain't out of this fight and I will get back on track.

This, like many troubles is passing. It's important to remember that when you are going through your battles, it is important as to how you conduct yourself and treat others during such times. Do not let your pain change who you are, do not let the night drown out your light! It is easy to be bitter and hateful when life is difficult, it can be difficult to be kind and smile when you're going through a battle but you must not let your suffering change you for the worse!

Periods of suffering can leads to long term growth if you make sure to learn how to handle this pain, adapt, and learn then move forward. It's difficult when life is going to Hell.

Although we live in a world of entitlement, life will knock us down, it will humble us, but it is our choice if we want to get back up on our feet or to lay down in the mid trapped by our adversary. As difficult as the fight will be and as scary as it sounds, you must find a path through your storms and keep moving forward. No matter the cost!
