Winter strikes back & My Actifit Report Card: March 11 2019

Starting the day with a long doggy walk we checked the pool with the frog spawn. It is still there.

There is a story connected to this nest of future frogs which I intend to tell you about.

Moving on to daily chores. While at th eoffice it started to rain. The winter came back to tell us it is not over yet. Luckily the rain stopped in time for my afternoon run.

It was also nice to see the mountains covered with fresh snow. The skiing season continues :)

While running by the river I've noticed this scene.

The local voluntary fire brigade was preparing a ponton for the kids to put their wooden boats into the river and bid them farewell. The custom is connected to the St. George's day (Gregorjevo in Slovenia, Đurđev dan in Serbia, ...) when the birds get married, supposedly :) I found a reference in English here.

SInce I was twenty minutes early for the party by the river to begin, and I dind't want to wait and get cold, I sped onwards to finish a decent almost 11K long run. Satisfied.

That coupled with an evening doggy walks and some additional late effort brought the @actifit score over 20,000 mark. Well done for a woring day.
