My Actifit Report Card: april 12 2019
So today I was out walking around the area of Stockholm city library, and here are some pictures.
This is the old observatory in Observatorielunden, right next to the library.
It was built in the mid 1700s, and served for many years, later on it was a museum, which closed in 2014.
This is the view from the hill where the observatory is located, and in the foreground is the Stockholm School of Economics, and in the background is the church of St. John.
This is another view with the park below the hill in the foreground, and in the background is the Church of Engelbrekt.
This is a Centaur statue located at the edge of the hill.
And this is the library seen from the hill.
This is the entrance.
This is how it looks inside, in the circular center part.
And in one of the side parts.
So the Stockholm City Library was finished in 1928 and designed by architect Gunnar Asplund.
It's really big and with many interesting details, plus lots of books.
That's it for today.
Thank you for reading, and have a good nights sleep.
Sincerely,
Erik Gustafsson

@flaxz, very nice report! Beautiful pictures! Thank you for adding that interesting information about the pictures. Also, nice weather!
The architecture of the building is really very interesting to me. To some extent most of the countries in Europe have to some extent similar architecture. So, when I see some pictures in the internet I immediately may recognize them if they where taken in Europe. But also although the European cities have many things in common, they are also very different. So what I want to say is ... that European cities look alike on the on hand, but on the other hand look very different. :).
So, when I see your pics from Stockholm I say to myself: "Yeah, it is Europe, but no other city is similar to that. There is something unique."
Thanks @cryptospa, and a most interesting analysis, both similar and unique at the same time, thank you.
