My Actifit Report Card: August 5 2019

It's one of those nights. 11:30 and the Land Lady is throwing another loud ass party. Some of us have to be up at 6 for work, yoh.

It's been nightly lately, and I'm heckin sick of it.

Sick of the whole neighborhood, actually. On Friday I came home to find the street filled with police cars. Again.

All up the street, in the alley, in my yard.

This time some asshole threatened to kill a young mom and her little daughter. Brandishing his gun around like the thug ass gangsta wannabe he is.

Luckily, this time, they caught him.

But we don't know if they caught the other one. Dude jumped out of a second story window with two guns, running from the cops.

They blocaded four entire blocks for that one. It wasn't a big enough story to let us know on the local news if they caught him or not.

A few days before that, five gunshots outside my bedroom window.

It's crazy here, but it's all I can afford. Rent is crazy expensivein this town, I'm lucky to have found a place at this price.

In the plus side, I'm a Shift Manager now. Maybe that $1 raise will help in the long run. Mostly it's just hard to feel so entirely helpless in this situation, you know?
