Winding down the house work - My Actifit Report Card: June 3 2019
Hi friends. It was a big day. My twins finished high school! And my older daughter who just finished college started a summer internship in her chosen profession. They are growing up! Heres the “last day of school” picture I took of the twins this morning.
Meanwhile, I had a full, busy work day, then picked up Chinese food, wine and cake and dashed home to meet my “house girls” group so we could get some work done around my house.
We sat and talked for two hours, then worked for two hours. I didn’t think we could go everything on my list, but the power of numbers is amazing. Here’s what we did:
- Spread 40 bags of mulch
- Planted flowers
- Washed windows
- Cleaned the porch and furniture
- Cleaned the walkway pavers
- Installed path lights
Not bad for two hours of work.
I’m not sure if you can tell, because the second picture is after dark, but it’s the same garden space as the first picture, but it looks so much nicer with the fresh mulch!

It's so great. I can't recommend it highly enough. It's wonderful camaraderie, and it's amazing how quickly you can get projects done! (But don't give up book club. I recommend both!)
