Just over the finish line - Actifit: October 4 2019
When the end of the day comes, and you don’t remember what you had for breakfast, and the activities of the day are a blur of people and events and post it notes and interactions and emails, and tasks that needed to get done, and some did and some didn’t... and you wonder if it’s all worthwhile, and if all that activity matters, and if perhaps there is some log book somewhere that tallies up your efforts... or if it’s just another day of hard work that may or may not be noticed... and you walk out to the outside world from your office building for the first time since early morning and the sky looks like this....
... and you stand there for a minute and you look at that pink tinge just trying to linger a bit longer before the leaden gray night sky wins the battle... and there is just a bit of a breeze and some moisture in the air and you can smell the fall leaves and you stand there alone for a minute and you realize that yes — there is meaning, even if it hides away sometimes and you have to seek it out, or find it in the smallest things... then you know that you will carry on and the next day or perhaps soon, you will have a lightness in your step again and you will laugh and feel joyful and glad to be alive.
