My Actifit // Back Stage

I had to take the swimmer son for a massage. There was physiotherapist at the youngest son’s play for the actors. The Hubs managed to get this boy a session and while he got a massage I took pictures of the props. The set up for the year 1980.

The boy got his massage which included tiny zaps of electricity to relax his muscles.

These were called tiffin carriers. It contained your meal at work. The bigger one's for home either to keep your soup or milk.

Mum owned one of these but the Singer brand. You had to peddle and it was simple but oh so durable. My school had these too and we had a subject called Home Science where we learnt to sew and cook.

Remember back in the day, people used to actually make time to sit by the radio to listen to the news.

You typical furniture from the 70's. And houses made with planks. I remember the one we lived in. Then we moved to house that was cement on the bottom half and planks the top. Then it was all cement and bricks.

The manual machines that made the rubber sheets after they were tapped.

Good ol typewriters. This is how I learnt to type using all my fingers and thumbs. I found a book with a step by step guide.

The dial phone. You just lock it with a mini padlock if you didn't want anyone to use it without your knowledge. And that's when we learnt, you could tap the pins you place the receiver on to dial out. You just need to tap it. So if you wanted the number 1 you tap it once. Number 2 twice and so on....hahaha

And the rubber stamp to stamp your dates on official documents.

When I got home later in the evening, some bouncing on the Exercise Ball but only around 20 minutes. Towards the end of Sixth Sense. I spotted it on Netflix and managed to convince the kids to watch it. I always like to see when one realises... oh, just in case you haven't watched it yet... I won't say it and give it away :)
