My Actifit Report Card: January 10 2019 - Dance the Twitch!

Today I walked quite a bit as I delivered a community newsletter. I play music through my headphones while I am walking the routes. A song came on and I thought I'd feature it in this post.
On October 12th 1962, an episode of a cartoon television show aired in prime time. In the 90s we had The Simpsons on during prime time which is 8 to 11 p.m. but it wasn't the first cartoon to air in that time space. That distinction goes to the Flintstones. Fred and Barney were married to Wilma and Betty, much like Ralph and Ed were married to Alice and Trixie in The Honeymooners. It was basically the same premise but the setting was quite different as The Flintstones took place back in caveman days.
In this particular episode, Fred had told Wilma that he got an act for her variety show but the guy ended up with laryngitis so Fred had to put on a wig and make believe he was this rock and roll singer. He performed the song, The twitch. You can find clips from this episode on YouTube, but here I am including the song from the TV show's soundtrack so you can hear the entire tune.
There's a town I know where the hipsters go called Bedrock, twitch twitch.
When you get an itch, then you do the twitch in Bedrock, twitch twitch.
It's a swingin' town so I'll see you down in Bedrock, twitch twitch, yeah yeah!
