My Actifit Report Card: August 9 2019
Got enough steps today without having to take time out for deliberate activity. With that said, I definitely need to get better about going outside, because I'm going to wither away and turn pale if I don't start getting some sun.
Today was a phenomenal day on writing. I think I hit something like 4200 words by noon, and got at least another thousand after that. I didn't get nearly as much reading done, though I got some done.
One of my goals as I get back into taking classes is to work out a workflow that lets me have weekends as a distinct entity from weekdays, giving myself Saturday off of school and Sunday entirely off. Part of this is to get enough writing done ahead of time that pretty much everything except posts like this and my reflections on aphorisms are done before Sunday (which, to be fair, are the only posts I do on Sunday, so take it all with a grain of salt).
That way I can help regulate myself into more productivity without feeling like I'm sinking into oppression of myself.
One thing that's nice is that I do enjoy what I do, it's just not the path of least resistance. With the right attitude, and a focus on working, I'll get a lot more done and be happier for it.
