My Actifit Report Card: October 5 2019
It was a good start for the weekend, spent most of the time preparing for the celebration of the Filipino community fiesta in our small town here in New Zealand. We prepared food for the pot luck and interacted with other Filipinos who also practice Catholic faith.

This is the Filipino Fiesta. Fiesta is a Spanish word for feast. Having been under the Spanish rule for more than 300 years, the celebration of fiesta is one of the most prominent influence Filipinos have from the Spanish culture. Spain brought Catholicism to the Philippines and fiesta is actually a celebration of the feast day of Catholic saints. Almost each town or city has a patron saint and they celebrate the saint's feast day through various activities - Holy Mass, games, each household prepares food for visitors, procession of floats with images of Catholic saints and Jesus Christ.
