My Actifit Report Card: March 17 2019
My first Actifit post. The community gym is closed on Sundays, but I still got a little jog in down to the running track. Runkeeper has some issues so part of my run wasn’t tracked. I’m trying to start off slow to stay consistent. If I keep posting, I’ll probably use my @lukes.random account.
I finished the run with a good ten minutes of mindfulness mediation. I’m currently reading the book Meditation and Mindfulness which I’m really enjoying.
There’s so much we could stress about in life from relationships to kids to work to health. The key to a life worth living, I think, is to live intentionally and understand the mind at a deeper level.
The beautiful thing about this life-changing potential is it can start right this very moment. Wherever you are reading this, you can stop, close your eyes, and focus on your breath. If your mind wanders, bring it back to the breath. Mindfulness is the key to being truly self aware which puts us on a path of transcendence.
It’s worth it.
