#freewrite :: 5 minute freewrite - Prompt: the sexy tango
It has been a long time since she danced in public. For years, she had only danced to herself, in front of the telly, watching music videos on Youtube.com. She had wanted to learn proper dancing, any type of dance but never did. Things always came in the way.
And when the music started playing in the hall, she couldn't help but move to the music. They were playing music from the 80s, sometimes 90s. It didn't matter, any music that was dance-able worked for her.
The dinner was a buffet dinner. She quickly took her food of some fish, chicken and vege, and sat at her assigned dining table in the hall. Everyone around her were having conversations, but she didn't care, as long as she has her music and her food, she was happy. She ate and moved with the music. Occasionally, she sang softly to the songs that played. The sound system was really good and she was enjoying herself.
Then, all of a sudden, they changed the tempo and started playing the sexy tango song - Gotan Project: Santa Maria. Oh how she wished she learnt how to dance tango, just like in the movies "Scent of a woman" and "Shall we dance". Well, at least she can still move with the music while eating her dinner and imagine herself dancing the sexy tango.
