My Actifit Report Card: September 16 2018

in #actifit6 years ago (edited)

Walking, walking, walking- that pretty much sums it up.

There are steps, oh so many steps, to reach the chicken coop.

First bring them food, then water, then compost, next, fresh greens. Back and forth, and forth and back. Today, with the phone in my pocket, counting every step (I hope).

Then, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. Hate that!!! That little computer should give me some extra steps for pain and suffering!!!

Next: shovel, shovel, shovel the lovely mulch. And spread it around.

Oh, did I mention the little dog wanting to go for a walk? Yup. We did that too.

And that is all the steps I got?

😯

Maybe I need a new phone with more favorable counting behavior.

Okay, I award you 50 extra steps for cleaning. And 45 for great progress on the mulch pile. So, there you go.... 95 extra steps! You're welcome.

Oh, thank you kind sir 😂

Uhg, those things so do not reflect reality. That's why I've never used them.

Either reality or what we think we want it to be :)

Thank you! I hope that you have dustsweeper... to make this little upvote count...

I use a fitbit and if I wave my hand around like crazy it gives me lots of extra steps! 😋

But I agree you should get extra for taking care of the chickens. That is hard work!

This is funny - wave your hands like crazy. I usually just stay at home. I think i should run and wave my hands like crazy too. Haha

Once I was hammering a stake into the ground and my fitbit congratulated me on being a "sports star"! It thought I was playing basketball. It was hard work, but not as much fun as basketball.

So hand waving is for cheating or for when I feel it cheated me out of steps. Walking behind the grocery cart doesn't count for example. Though I save the waving like crazy until I get home.

That is funny!! Good idea to wait until you get home. And waving hands is actually a workout. If you hike, do aerobics or anything else, using your arms as well really increases the workout LOL

hahaha - I want extra for cleaning the house. That is work I don't like LOL

Hi @mariannewest. I am back on this older post to tell you or remind you that @ teresah is a new freewriter from venezuala. So you should put her on that list of people you ask us to support each day. I see her keep trying to remind you :)

Thank you so much!! I have been so busy with all kinds of stuff that I am not really paying attention. sorry. will add her to the template right now.

I feel your pain @mariannewest. The amount of exercise I do never seems to match up between what my brain perceives it as and what the phone or the measuring device say it is. Nor do I like the amount of calories they attribute to my activity. I'd rather conserve the energy for something much more fun and efficient, whatever that might be. :)

hahaha - I know!!! they tell us one tiny little cookie has 5000 calories and a 2 mile hike burns 50 - or so it seems :)

That's pretty much it. I mean there's a slight exaggeration obviously, but it's not so much to say that a small cookie has 200-300 calories and then you need to go out and walk for one to two hours, at least, to work off the cookie. If it took me that long to eat the cookie, okay, great, that's fair. But when it takes me less than a minute to eat the cookie and 60 to 120 times that long to burn it off, unless I go for something more strenuous, and even then there are diminishing returns—anyway. We're on the same page here. :)
