My Actifit & Ulog Report Card: November 29 2018
The dude is still sick and was hanging out with me. We played his favorite game, Blokus. He beat me a couple of times, but I had my revenge.
Fun fact. Someone had left that game in my little free library and I thought it fun to let my (grand)kids have fun with it for a little while. It has a lot of little pieces. They were all there when it got donated.
All three dudes really like the game.
And we still have all the little pieces. It is close to a miracle!
Rain
And it rained!!! Yippee!!! It rained in Southern California!!
I went out several times to take the leaves and sticks out of the areas water needs to be flowing.
The dam is redirecting some of the water
Got soaking wet a couple of times as well.
Dug some infiltration ditches in front to get the water out of the driveway and keep the garage dry.
It had already rained a few hours and only the top 1/4 inch was wet. After such a long drought, the water has a hard time sinking in. Lucky for us, for the most part, this has been a gentle rain. It is getting the soil ready to absorb more next time it rains - hopefully in a week.
And tried to dig some more on the water harvesting ditch. Gophers had thrown some soil back into the ditch and it is stopping the water from coming all the way through.
Miss BB and I went for a walk as well. She didn't think it was a good idea to have her dainty little paws touch the wet ground. I think she was also confused that she couldn't smell the neighborhood dog newspaper = pee very well since it had washed away.
Finally, she gave up and just walked along instead of letting me pull her.
NaNoWriMo is almost over. Tomorrow is the last day. Hope to make the next month all about hiking and gardening...
