My Actifit & Ulog Report Card: January 12 2019 - for @mannacurrency
A full day of immersing ourselves into the sights, smells, and tastes of New Orleans. So much fun.
After a raindrop shower head morning treat and a cup of coffee we set out to find the hat shop we had spied last night.
My husband needed a hat. He loves hats. He wants a hat when it rains. He had forgotten to bring one and it was supposed to rain in the afternoon.
That out of the way, on to get down to the business of eating brunch!! Linen tablecloths, waiters in black and white, and fantastic food.
Southern food of course.
Duck and alligator gumbo, crab legs, fried chicken and waffles, French toast... do I need to go on?
Sightseeing. People watching. Art hunting.
Music listening. Picture taking.
You know- the things one does while in the French Quarter.
Since New Orleans calories don’t count- I swear they don’t (that is the story I am telling myself and am sticking with it!) we went on the hunt for a particular kind of donut called Beignet that is delicious and worth every calorie!!!
That is the line to buy them.
And that is what it looks like to eat them!
The rain came and we took it as a sign that it was time to hit the road.
Now, we are back in Meridian and are looking forward to hanging out with the family.
