The Viareggio Carnival!
Today I haven't done nothing special, just a regular student day, from a class to another trying to be in time.
For this reason I'd rather talk about what I've done two Saturdays ago: I live in Pisa, in Tuscany, very close to Viareggio, a nice little city in front of the sea. Viarreggio has a particular tradition, maybe not everyone knows that here in Italy we celebrate every year the Carnival. The most famous italian carnival is Venice one, but also Viareggio carnival is highly known!
The photograph is property of the author (foto dell' autore)Every years, for months, people of Viareggio spend time building amazing and scenographic papier-mache floats, that recreate the most disparate scenes! They are huge and colorful; in Viareggio is a very strong tradition and they pass the art craft from generation to generation.

The papier-mache floats are driven in the middle of the street, their walk is very slowly to allow to everyone the possibility to see every details.
