Actifit and Homesteady Progress Report April 7
Here we go again. Sunday evening post.
Worked in the garden today (are you surprised? Lol). I checked under the leaf mulch that I set around the fruit trees and most of the grass was done. I pulled what was left and upset the soil a bit with the rake. Then I spread nitrogen fixing forage around them. Clover, lentils, fenugreek, etc. High protein forage for the chooks and nitrogen fixing for the trees. Should be good.
Then I went across town to buy some comfrey from the lady that works the permaculture farm here. Bigly jealous of her wood chips everywhere! She gave me 23 root cuttings, a big crown, and three budding sunchokes for $20! Score. So I planted five for each of the fruit and peach trees and four for the little plum. Hoping they take :) that'll be an awesome setup.
Tomorrow I'm planting lupines with the fruit trees and blue passionflower on the canopy trees. That'll be the start of my vining layer, and I'm really excited about it. Is there a plant that I'm not excited about planting? ;)
Gonna be a quiet week for me on steem. I'm curating for HSCO this week, do I'll probably just be on actifit posts, if any. I'll try and make them substantial, but I'm gonna be busy between work and curating. Coming up soon I'm gonna take a couple weeks off all social media. A break is long overdue, and I've got reading to do. 
Awesome! I was gardening today too! I planted a bunch of seeds in starter pots to get them going. We still have a chance of frost for another month.

I repotted my avocado, then planted some peaches, plums, and cherries I had in my fridge. Also got some goji berries started. I'm hoping half of what I planted grows.
