The Day Hike to Lambingan Hills | My Actifit Report Card: February 9 2019

Last night me and my steemit friends @johnpd, @czera and @beyonddisability helped our dear friend @tpkidkai setting up the stage for a life-changing phase of his life. After prepping up, the four of us, together with my daughter had to leave as our work has been done.

Since we only get to meet each other every once in a very long while, we all decided to go for a little road trip. We wound up to a piece of heaven in the hidden in the province of Tanay, Rizal. Lambingan Hills is located in Brgy. Cayumbay. It was a 2-3 hour drive from Eastwood but it may be a lot shorter than that if we didn't have some needed stopovers.

The trek up the hill will take 15-20 minutes. My two year old daughter was able to climb by herself except of course for some slightly steep climbs and a few rocky steps.

When you get to the peak, you'll be blessed with a 360° view of green forest mountains/hills and the beauty of Laguna de Bay.

You'll also see these colorful plants all over. I'm not really sure what they're called but they look cool.

My kid found pleasure in sitting on the makeshift swing on the tree. There were a lot of people though when we got there so we had to wait for our chance to ride the swing.

It was really windy up there so you might want to make sure your hair is propped or at least put a bandana on your head.

The place is really wide so visitors could really pitch their tent anywhere. If you don't have your own tent, you can rent one for Php150. Or you could stay on the huts in there. There's an entrance fee of Php50 per head if you'll be there on a day tour. Overnight fee is Php 150 per head. My daughter was not charged for an entrance fee though. :-)

I just hope though that people visiting the place practice the mountaineering etiquette: Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints. I noticed some of the guests picking flowers or trying to pick the colorful plants. There are a lot of children during our visit. It is a very wonderful opportunity to introduce them to the wonders of nature. It is also a great chance to show them how to respect Mother Nature.

I hope the management will be able to preserve the beauty of Lambingan Hills. I heard more and more people are learning about this place and it is becoming a tourist attraction.
