My Actifit Report Card: April 13 2019

Father's still in the hospital. He's feeling a lot better than when we first arrived at the ER. He's been transferred to the ward and tests have been done. We're just waiting for tge results.

Four bags of blood were needed so he could recover. He's been complaining for the pain with all those needles.

My siblings and I are taking turns in watching him. I heard him talk to my younger brother. Pa said "You carried me to the hospital? In your arms?" Funny how panic gives us superhuman strength. My brother just replied, "It's fine Pa. You also carried me when I was little." I think that's one of the reason this brother of mine is the favorite son and favorite sibling.

My father gets eyed too easily these days that's why we try to talk to him during his emotional momentd in a jokingly manner. Parents get a bit too dramatic when they get old. (Or maybe it's just my Pa showing appreciation.) It's a good thing me and my siblings have a flare for comedy. We get to use our punch lines during these trying times.

Most of the times, that's how we cope with difficulties such as this. We keep it light with our occassional jokes. But man, when you are at a public hospital here in my country, you also need to bring out your warrior side so you could survive. So your patient would survive.

Being in the hospital for almost a week just strengthened the bond me and my sibling have and the love we have for our parents. Pa could be hard headed most of the time (it's clear now where we got that trait) but we have to be stern when it comes to patient care.

I just hope he gets better soon.
