Hello! Happy is a series produced by SYFY, with good special effects, which, coming from that channel is a little incredible hahaha I have seen other films produced by this chain and they do not really meet expectations, but, this is great! Doing this fanart was that I realized that it is based on a comic, I really admire that quality of drawing of the comics, they have a beautiful aestheticity with the work of plots and tonal keys in medium low tone that catch the eye of the viewer.
The story portrays the life of Nick Sax, an alcoholic ex- police officer who starts working as a mercenary just to get money that allows him to continue buying his vice, one December night he is left unconscious and taken to a hospital, while he goes in the ambulance an unicorn named Happy appears , which resembles more a little donkey with wings and a horn; he desperately asks for help to rescue his friend, a girl who was kidnapped by a man disguised as Santa Claus, who turns out to be his daughter, incredulous thinks it is a hallucinogenic manifestation caused by the blows, but, as the chapter progresses he realizes that he is a partially real being, at least for him and all those who are able to see imaginary friends.
I set a goal, as I have too many things to do between the university and daily life, so as not to lose a day of post, I will try to create drawings / illustrations or whatever happens to me that takes me maximum 2 hours of realization, if I achieve this for a whole month, hopefully I'll finish doing a portrait in 15 minutes hahaha.

Happy es una serie producida por SYFY, con buenos efectos especiales, lo cual, viniendo de ese canal es un poco increíble jajaja he visto otras películas producidas por esta cadena y realmente no llenan mucho las expectativas, pero, esta es buenísima!. Haciendo este fanart fue que me di cuenta que esta basada en un cómic, realmente admiro esa calidad de dibujo de las historietas, tienen una esteticidad bellisima con el trabajo de tramas y claves tonales en tono medio bajo que atrapan la mirada del espectador.
La historia retrata la vida de Nick Sax, un ex policía alcohólico que comienza a trabajar como un mercenario solo para conseguir dinero que le permita seguir comprando su vicio, una noche de Diciembre lo dejan inconsciente y es llevado a un hospital, mientras va en la ambulancia se le aparece un unicornio llamado Happy, que se asemeja más a un burrito con alas y un cuerno; éste le pide desesperadamente ayuda para rescatar a su amiga, una niña que fue secuestrada por un hombre disfrazado de Santa Claus, que resulta ser su hija, incrédulo piensa que es una manifestación alucinógena causada por los golpes, pero, a medida que avanza el capitulo se da cuenta que es un ser parcialmente real, por lo menos para él y todos los que son capaces de permitirse ver a los amigos imaginarios.
Me propuse una meta, como tengo demasiadas cosas que hacer entre la universidad y la vida diaria, para no perder un día de post, intentaré crear dibujos/ilustraciones o lo que se me ocurra que me lleven máximo 2 horas de realización, si logro esto durante todo un mes, con suerte terminaré haciendo un retrato en 15 minutos jajaja.

I used a red color to realize the previous sketch, of this way when throwing to it the watercolor was going to avoid those ugly gray spots that usually provied that dirty appearance to the drawing

Usé un color vinotinto para realizar el boceto previo, de esta manera al echarle la acuarela iba a evitar esas feas manchas grises que suelen ensuciar el dibujo

I went little by little, adding the details each time I threw a layer of watercolor, so in that way I could watch the result that was left, since, I really had no idea how I was going to paint it, at the end I saw that I had a pen and I decided to place it, to conform that style of comic, taking the plot as the fundamental basis to apply the shadows.

Fui poco a poco, agregándole los detalles cada vez que tiraba una capa de acuarela, de tal manera que fuese viendo como iba quedando el resultado, ya que, realmente no tenia idea de cómo lo iba a pintar, al final vi que tenía un bolígrafo y decidí colocarlo, para conformar ese estilo de cómic, tomando el tramado como base fundamental para aplicar las sombras

I enhanced the lights and shades with blue and yellow, so I would avoid darkening it so much with black, which, I preferred to leave it only for the city in the background.
The watercolor allowed me to streamline the work process, because if I had put color with the crayons I was going to take maybe a little more than 2 hours, the positive part that I also saw was that watercolor allows cover the porosities of the cardboard, giving a neater result that is very noticeable at the time of scanning, apparently I am goint to take up the watercolor after so long.

Realcé las luces y sombras con color azul y amarillo, así evitaría oscurecerlo tanto con el negro, el cual, preferí dejarlo únicamente para la ciudad de fondo.
La acuarela me permitió agilizar el proceso del trabajo, ya que, si me hubiese puesto a ponerle color con los lápices de colores me iba a tomar tal vez un poco más de 2h, la parte positiva que también le vi fue que, la acuarela permite tapar las porosidades de la cartulina, dando un resultado mas prolijo que se nota muchísimo al momento de escanearlo, al parecer retomaré la acuarela después de tanto tiempo.
