Future Focus | Saffron Acres Growing Out of Poverty: September 9 2019
Today I went to Future Focus, the annual event for the local voluntary sector, attended, I would guess by people from about 100 or so charities. Lots happened, including a little light on-boarding, but I'll be writing about that another day.
It was held in the Conference Centre in the University Village not far from where I live. It was a great venue, everything worked, except for the speaker from NCVO (the national umbrella organisation for the voluntary sector) who was poorly and didn't turn up. The food and refreshments were great, the networking and environment were excellent. And I got my steps in.
The best part of the day was the morning workshop by Neil Hodgkin, Chief Executive of Saffron Lane Neighbourhood Council. Again, I'll be writing about this in more detail in another post, but for now I wanted to share this fabulous video about Saffron Acres Growing Out of Poverty.
