My Actifit Report Card: October 5
Yesterday I started the day very late, with a long walk towards the city center, a visit to a barber shop, and amazing time spent in an art galerie:
The exposition was built around the famous romanian painter Nicolae Tonitza (April 13, 1886 – February 27, 1940).
He is one my preferred romanian painters.
I love the composition, the colors, the equilibrium of his art... Most known for the portrets of kids with beautiful big eyes, N. Tonitza had a major role in introducing modernist guidelines to local art:

These pictures might have so many stories behind them, the people who were making them must have something going in their minds and the people who have been drawn would also have hundreds of tales to tell. In this particular case, Tonitza was obsessed with the image of his own kids. He had three kids, and painted them in all their life stages (the ones in the second picture are his kids). Even some of the nudes are of his own daughter...
