Who could have thought that growing your own food could become so complicated? Not only assembling the raised beds but then filling the (bloody!) things!
Finding and buying decent soil or compost is a whole new world. They call it 'black gold'. My wallet is now agreeing!
I try to stay focused by reminding myself what it will be like to feed our family on our own home grown food. Even if it only supplements our meals to start. It will be amazing. To know that it's travelled from our own garden to our plate. And that's it.
I also think about that quote in the movie 'The Big Short' where Brad Pitt's character as the ex super trader says:
"Seeds are the new currency"
Beginning to see that too!
Hey Steve it is starting to look amazing. You have totally transformed that area and it will pay you back over time through food and enjoyment. A plus is it could add value to the property as well.
