My Actifit Report Card: August 5 2019
Dumbo
For this evenings acifit post I share some photos taken with my iPhone on a morning walk around Dumbo
No not Dumbo the Disney Elephant but DUMBO in Brooklyn DUMBO stands for Down Under Manhattan Brooklyn Bridges
One thing I love about this area is the Cobblestone streets so I had to get a shot or two of them including this first shot with cobblestones and an old train track on what is now a footpath.

And a little further along on my morning walk I came across this stop sign which someone had added a little more to it and I thought it was a very apt message for these times

And here i am in Brooklyn Bridge park looking at the Manhattan Bridge which will be in a couple of shots in this post, even though I took shots of Brooklyn bridge as well I decided to go with thots of the Manhattan Bridge instead maybe just because so many focus on the Brooklyn Bridge when in this area and I like to be different :)

And just after saying that the next shot I share actually shows a portion of the Brooklyn Bridge but my main focus here was the cool buildings which have been converted into shops and apartment buildings on the right and the cobblestone streets

Next up is a shot down a street that is very popular with tourists in general and photographers in particular, there is probably a good chance you have sene this view either in a photo or in movies, but whenever i visit this area I still need to take photos there.
That the Manhattan Bridge in the background and you can see the Empire State Buildings under the bridge, and also quite a few people on the street and sidewalk taken photos

And this is on the Brooklyn Bridge which I walked across to catchy he subway back to the office, and gave me a little chuckle, the Sign warn of a fine for putting locks on the bridge and some people clearly did not like that rule and out locks right above the sign

I did take a few shots of the Brooklyn bridge both with my cellphone and my Sony Camera, but decided that's enough for this post, I will save the cell phone shots for a day where I get my steps in and don’t have any photos to share
Shadow Contest Entry Office Shadows
And this will also be an entry for the ShadowContest hosed by @melinda010100 where this week theme is office shadows as detailed in this postand I share this shot I took this morning in one of the corridors in our office building, now it may be debatable if th3ese are shadows or reflections but I say there are some shadows in there :)

Automatic Win
I wasn’t aiming for the Automatic Win this morning on my Walk I was just enjoying the walk, but when I went o go to the cafeteria to get a drink at 9:30 while in the queue I took a look to see how many steps I had done and was surprised to see i was over 10K so attaching a screen shot to show the Automatic Win

Look at you, you were having so much fun on your walk taking those beautiful photos you accomplished your walking goal and then some! Well done :) This shots are so fun, they remind me of the old black and white movies (except of the updated cars, lol) Truly beautiful! The bridges are truly magnificent and the locks on the sign, perfect!
I do love walking especially with my camera its my way of relaxing :)
I do have tons of shots with my Sony camera that I will get to and share at some stage
Oh!!! You got it and I have been so busy that I didn't even notice. Boo me! This is one of my favorite places to be. Perhaps because of the possibilities it owns. There is something magical in getting that perfect shot with the Empire State Building peeking through the hole.
And those amazing cobblestones. You just can't make this stuff up. Or remake it, because it shows.
The mono really shows off the details and the cobblestone textures. I love the locks right above the words No locks People are so renegade. LOL As always have a great night! And thanks for the DUMBO post... :)

I did notice this visit some of the cobblestone streets has fallen into disrepair and just bene tarred over was kind of sad to see I think they should maintain them even if it is costly it really adds character tot he area I think
I do Love seeing the ESB under the bridge from that angle, I also took a bunch of shots with my camera but havent even looked at them yet its a crazy kind of week
I ddo kind of understand why they dont want locks all over the bridge, but I did have a good chuckle when I saw the locks over the no lock sign :)
Well done on your fitness activity count, sure you're reaping the benefits @tattoodjay! That stop sign is awesome, carries such an apt message! The world is in a real mess with atrocities all over, not just in the USA!

That fine that says no locks is a certain challenge and if we were to live there, you will surely see my tiny lock on there hahaha.
The bridge shots are also excellent my friend.

I haven’t put a lock onthe bridge myself but i must admit i have wished i have had a lock with me every time i see those signs LOL
That is funny they put the sign up for no locks. They probably don't want it ending up like that bridge in France that has all of them all over it. The shot of the bridge between the buildings with the Empire State Building under it is awesome.
I remember reading somewhere where one of the city workers jobs is voting the Bridge regularly to take down the locks, supposedly its a safety issue as to many locks would add a lot of weight, sounds weird to me if that is the case but I Guss they take safety very seriously
