My Actifit Activity Log [10.31.2018] [S].M.A.R.T. GOALS

[S].M.A.R.T. GOALS are an innovation in setting effective motivating goals that ACTUALLY yield results. I’m not to sure how familiar you all are with this concept but since I won’t even think about starting a fitness program with a training client without first going through a intense goal setting session I figure it’s worth while to go through it in detail here on my blog.

I hope this helps you get clarity on what it is you really want from your health and fitness! I believe this to be key in actually achieving massive results! This is basically like the nuclear fusion cell of the submarine engine that drives it through the water and around the world. In fact did you know that a nuclear submarine doesn’t have to refuel for over 20 years! How would that change the game for you if you didn’t have to fuel up your car with petrol for 20 years?! Where would you go? What would you do! Would any of your current plans change? Would you, perhaps, change the way you are thinking about getting from point A to point [B]each? I think you might...

Well! Understanding this is simple concept about setting effective [S].M.A.R.T. GOALS is like that! Once you clearly understand what it is that your going after motivation and drive will power you to wherever you want to go with your health and fitness! Taking the time to set [S].M.A.R.T. GOALS is a real game changer!

So the acronym [S].M.A.R.T. stands for 5 key elements to setting successful goals. Goals that will propel you to the results you deserve.

The first letter is [S].

[S] stands for “Specific”.

If you are not absolutely certain about what you are attempting to achieve you will never really know if you have achieved your goal(s). Setting crystal clear and and concise health and fitness goals is infinitely important.

If you don’t know where you are going... any road will do.

But don’t be surprised if the place you end up going to isn’t what you had in mind.

Just like pilots set flight plans and then reference off of then continually to make sure they don’t deviate from their course so to setting a clear destination in regards to your health and fitness is vital to its ultimate attainment.

So that’s what the [S] in [S].M.A.R.T. stands for. Having very “specific” well laid out goals increases your odds of achievement and not only that... knowing exactly what your goals are allows your mind to creatively figure out exactly how and what the best course of action is to reaching that defined goal.

This is the surest way to increase velocity towards your objectives and the more velocity the more momentum!

I honestly couldn't tell you @crypto-econom1st. I'm guessing your taking about the newest update post from @Actifit which I haven't actually read just yet! Awesome job on 22K steps! Interesting theory, to be honest I have never set any specific goals when it comes to my health. I just know I amazing I feel when I am in great shape so that seems to motivate me enough to continue my health journey. But your right, I prolly should lay out better goals. I'm interested to see the rest of this series :)

In the spring of 2012 I ran a marathon on the Great Wall of China. I’ll be writing, sharing photos, and video content about that in the next little while so check back when you have a chance to! 🙂

More recently I am sorting out exactly what my cardio and weight training goals are going to be. For now I am focused on the #AutomaticWin Step Challenge (Click the hashtag to find out more about that!) but I also would like to do a strength goal... I was thinking of training to do the human flag. I also want to begin setting some longevity goals.
