"Is it ok to be jealous and how can I get over it?"

Hi Nomad,

I have a little problem having once been involved in a relationship with someone… nothing serious though, just for a month or so. It eventually ended by his choice. I actually thought it could have worked wonderfully… less than a year passed and a good friend of mine initiated phone conversations with him which ultimately led to a meeting and now they are dating.

I know I have no right to say anything to her but I am sooooooo jealous and this feeling eats me alive from inside.

How to get over it?

How to get over it?

By simply understanding that because your friend is now happy it does not mean that happiness has been taken away from you! Joy and exuberance exist in abundance around you and for you. Love is everywhere and always and you have the same powers that your friend has.

That means that jealousy and frustration are just an illusion and they reflect your false belief that you cannot create love for yourself. Indeed, that illusion can hurt very much but at the end of the day, it is just an Illusion.

As a rule, emotions and feelings are always governed and can be altered by the mind. This does not mean that anyone should live life through rational thoughts alone. On the contrary – life must indeed be felt to and by the last of your bones and cells and that can only be achieved when you fearlessly allow the myriad of emotions to flow from the inner planes through your human essence into the physical world. But you must also remember that as intelligent and conscious creators you do not have to accept any feeling that is hovering in your energetic field just because it is there! You can choose how to feel!

I know such a statement may surprise you but understand that it is only your training that has led you to believe in the savage and uncontrolled nature of emotions. Emotions are a tool that you can use and direct; they are not what you are! Therefore, if sadness, jealousy, loneliness or any other unwanted feeling “comes upon” you, use your mind to choose differently. Command your mind to look within for any evidence that may contradict that emotion. Alteration of the direction of your thoughts will naturally and automatically evaporate the relevant chemicals in your body to release the undesired emotions.

You are a conscious creator and once your mind is given a free yet balanced room to function, everything becomes possible!
