Have You Ever Seen Mammatus Clouds Like These?? - Mega Storm Part 3 May 15th 2018
Simply stunning. These clouds are really a sight to behold. They remind me of the puff curds of mozzarella cheese that are sold about.
As the mega storm had passed and the rain ceased, I was delighted to take flight once more for I knew I would gaze upon a glorious sight. Though I would say I wasn't expecting to see such a beautiful display of mammatus clouds! Formed on the underbelly of a sweeping canopy top of the massive massive cumulonimbus super cell storm, these more rare clouds are always a wonder to the curious sky watcher.
Not to mention the beauty of the sunlit backdrop as the end of the canopy comes within view of the birdcam. This storm was a doozy, just not for our specific location. I think we received near a quarter of an inch.
😍 amazing 😍 I have seen them only once😣 But next year, looks like we are goint to USA ... so fingers cros 😋
