"The Weekend Wash-Up" AFL Fantasy Classic Review + Summary!

Hi Everyone,

So Round 8 is run and done.

Not a high scoring round by any means but the ladder has certainly tightened and things are getting very interesting.

Only 3 players were able to break the 2000 barrier so I am tipping the Tom Mitchell 58 hurt a lot of teams as he is a popular captain choice.

Hats off to Niges Cats for top scoring the Round with 2027.

He was closely followed by the bounty winning, still unbeaten, maybe even unbeatable Medhurst Minions 2025 and Little Old Lady on 2012.

Results:

Hannibals Leftovers continued his very strong season by dispatching Kulate with minimal fuss 1972 to 1565.

Hannibals is currently 3rd on the ladder and has only dropped the 1 game all year.

Just2Random brought up his 2nd win of the year over I Wear Footy Pyjamas 1732 - 1649.

I Wear Footy Pyjamas was not too far away this week and may be edging closer to a first win of the year.

Buffalo Bisons stays within a game of the Top 8 with a 1736 to 1312 victory of DBLSTR.

Steemit Huskies kept in touch with Top 8 with a much needed victory over Piston Broke 1762 - 1487.

Piston Broke another still desperately searching for that first win of the year.

NZL19500 had the chance of a Bounty this week but it doesn't look like this was enough incentive to submit a full team.

Lockout (@o07) protects the Bounty and gets the 4 points.

Little Old Lady put up a great 2012 score this week to defeat Playing for Draft Picks 2012 - 1712.

Handy % increase for the Old Lady who is out of the 8 by only %0.87! So close.

Lions4Life is the team holding the Old Lady out of the 8 by that %0.87 as he had an important victory over Cunning Stunts 1806 - 1584 to just maintain his spot for now.

In the other Bounty match a red hot Medhurst Minions kept his unbeaten record in tact and put up the 2nd highest score of the round to take me down (@dahmsy79) and claim the bounty.

Medhurst won 2025 - 1820 so congrats to the Minions and he remains in 2nd spot on the ladder.

Niges Cats was our top scorer of the round and took down Adro's Assassins 2027 to 1757.

Adro's Assassins is now out of the 8 on percentage whilst Niges Cats is a real challenger this season and is in the top 4.

The last match up of the round was a cracker between our unbeaten League leader BraphB and the very strong Mmeow side that had only lost 1 match so far.

Was a thrilling contest and Mmeow came so close but alas our leader BraphB further pressed his premiership credentials winning 1901 to 1889.

We need to wait all the way until Round 16 for BraphB and Medhurst Minions to meet and will be interesting to see if they can both carry on their unbeaten streaks until then.
