Sunflowers Benefits.

Sunflower was originated in Russia and discovered as oil seed in 19th Century. People start cultivating this crop for oil extraction purposes. It can be grown in the dry zone or in the irrigated area because its need to be irrigated weekly when there is no coming of rain. Sunflower will be considered as crops not only for bearing beautiful yellow petals. Some farmer cultivates this flowers for their livelihood, and as a source of income.

Sunflowers can be harvest when the petals turn to yellow as a sign it is already matured. Dry the petals under the heat of the sun to remove easily the seeds. Farmers used a machine or multi-crop thresher to removed or separate the seeds from petals. For oil extraction from the seeds, they use some equipment such as oil machinery for extraction.

Sunflower seeds can be used as cooking oil. It is rich in minerals like selenium and magnesium. It is also a source of protein, carbohydrates, and lipids, and also rich in vitamin E, which maintains our healthy and glowing skin. Sunflower seeds contribute health benefits to our human body it is rich in Iodine and it is good for our thyroid gland. The sunflower's petals could also blend with the seeds to make a tea which brings health benefits to human body. It could be healed some respiratory ailment and it is good for those suffering from fever. The seeds of sunflowers can be added in some salads. It can be used as nuts.
