Sex During Pregnancy!
This is a hot topic for many couples in this generation. In the past our forefathers used to think it was a "taboo" to engage in sexual acts during pregnancy thinking it will hurt the baby or mother.
Research and modern obstetrics has proven that it's generally safe to engage in sexual acts during pregnancy. Of course the general safety measures has to be carried out including positioning of the woman during sex and speed/power of thrusting.
The aim should be gentleness and caution especially as the pregnancy approaches the third trimester when the amniotic sac is getting ripe for rupture and child birth. Also be wary of the effects of semen on uterine contraction. Semen can trigger labour especially towards the tail end of pregnancy.

Aside from these, pregnant women may have elevated libido due to elevated hormone levels. After the first trimester when they are all sickly with morning sickness, they tend to be much more exaggerated sexually.
The men may also find them more alluring in the bedroom because of enhanced features following weight gain in different corners of the body. Breast engorgement and hip widening may all lead to more frequent sexual expression between partners.

Though am yet to have practical experience, but from hearsay and personal believe.

I also heard that sex during pregnancy among other benefits helps to widen the birth canal for easy passage.
Lol. That's not really true. The birth canal is contractile and expands on it's own accord.

We have to try and eradicate some established superstitious believes in this country many of our people truly believes that sex during pregnancy has negative effects on the child.

it's a Yay, Although no practical experience to back it up.....
But from my knowledge and researches.
It's a YAY..........but not in all situations depending on the nature of the mother and the baby.
I have seen a situation where a woman is pregnant and each time she have sex with her husband she bleeds, and this bleeding doesn't signify a miscarriage because the pregnancy was still there. she was advise to stay away from sex for some certain period.
It's a YAY but Guys......Please It's a gentle Hit, Not that type of effort you use like you want to move Nigeria to the next level.....LOL

I think l have a "yay" to sex during pregnancy as long as it's comfortable for the woman, unless there is a medical condition that makes that risky, like abnormal placentation.
I heard from a doctor that it is okay for pregnant women to engage in sex but if they are getting tired of it then the couple should stop. @air-clinic
