Hi Guys,

Welcome back to another section of #Motivational Mondays.

Now if anyone is reading/following this series then I would love to hear what you have gained from this series.

Why?

Because the whole purpose of this series is to help you guys get motivated and inspired and then get up and get going and hopefully lose some weight 😂😅😎.

So please do let me know in the comments section below how much has this series helped you guys out.

Alright, on that note let's move forward.

So before we begin let's just see together what are Motivational Mondays all about?

I have seen that people either want to begin working out and then they have some other commitments to attend to and then they never begin working out or they begin working out and then they don't continue the momentum forward i.e. don't even last a week.

Therefore, these posts are going to be providing you some motivation/inspiration to work out so that you banish the excuses and make some room even if it's for 5-10 mins. for working out daily.

And now (wwe voice style) it's time to answer the most awaited question for today's post i.e. what should we do to get motivated today?

And the answer is .....

A story. Videos will come after I get bored with making these stories.

So without further adieu let's get on with the story. (Another day and another story. Also another attempt to help you guys get motivated and inspired. Are we getting successful let me know in the comments section below. Otherwise, I'll get even passionate to get you guys motivated.)

Today we're going to be hearing about a women from Australia who wanted to become an Olympic level swimmer. Now was she successful?

Stay tuned to find out.

The story for today revolves around a women from Australia who got inspired by #Michael Philips to become an Olympiad in swimming for Australia.

The name of the girl i.e. the star of the story for today is Andrea Matthews who is 19 years old and lives in Sydney, Australia. She is a college going student but has dropped out of university to work as a book keeper in a reputed firm in Australia. And yup, she also has a bachelors degree in commerce.

However, she dropped out of her master's degree. Now as you guys are all aware of that the climatic conditions of Australia are very hot and humid. Therefore, beers, ice creams, soft drinks, etc, are very popular over there to the best of my knowledge.

But Andrea is not an avid drinker. Infact, she never drinks at all. Until today she has been away from alcohol and she intends to stay like that.

Why? Because she is techy and analytical by nature. Therefore, alcohol is something she doesn't even bother to touch because she is well aware of the hazards associated with it.

So no beer, soft drinks, etc. Just the casual ice-cream and cold water with electrolyte powder. Besides that a casual trip to beach, swimming pool, etc.

However, for today she is having fun with a glass of cold water with electrolyte powder along her side whilst watching T.V. .

She is watching the Olympics of 2012. Swimming to be a little more specific and Michael Philips is taking stance to get ready for his race.

On your marks get ready 3,2,1 begin.

Micheal Philips in the lead as always but wait a new swimmer from Russia named Albert Petrov is taking the lead. Now Philips and now Petrov. Other swimmers not able to catch up. Philips, Petrov, Philips, Petrov. Who is going to win?

"Awesome" yelled Andrea taking a sip of electrolyte water. "This getting intense" she remarked. Philips, Petrov, .... .

Last 2 laps to go but still it is a nail biter. Who will win Philips or Petrov. Both are swimming neck-to-neck.

Final lap to go. It's Philips now it's Petrov. Wait. "Michael Philips is catching up on some great speed here" said the commenter. "Ooh my God look at this guys class" exclaimed an excited and fired up Andrea.

And the winner is Michael Philips.

Slurp all the water is finished but something got lit up in Andrea. "I want to become an Olympic athlete as well" she decided.

As expected she decided to join the nearest coaching center in her vicinity. Within a week she had made a friend circle at her coaching center and had made enquires pertaining to all the ways she could become an Olympic level athlete.

So, first the locals then the states and then the Nationals.

After assessing everything she formulated a plan of sorts to get to the locals.

Pumped with excitement she decided to go to her Coach and ask her what he thinks about her plans.

The coach laughed and said it's just your first week. Practice a little more and then we'll talk.

Andrea went back to her stretching routine and then proceeded with her laps.

A month has passed away and Andrea has made a decent start in terms of her progress to the Nationals.

She has viewed a lot of videos on YouTube about swimming technique, especially those that will help her reduce her drag time.

Her target is 100 Mts. in 30 seconds for the locals.

And unfortunately she is still taking a minute to complete a 100 MTS. lap.

Frustrated as hell she goes to the Head coach and asks him why is she not able to complete her lap in 30 seconds. Her Nutrition & Technique seem to be on point. She even sleeps for 7 hours everyday to recover from her workout. Still why isn't her time reaching 30 seconds.

Her gives her 5 mins to see her faults.

Turns out that she wasn't turning fast because her core and obliques were underdeveloped.

Subsequently, her Coach gives her a training regimen to develop her obliques and core.

Andrea follows the instructions to the T and Voila her timing improves.

Furthurmore, she practices late in the night as well till 12. Then wakes up by 7 goes to her job and then returns by 6 in the evening. Then trains from 7:30 to 12. Rinse and repeat with the occasional ups and downs.

A tenure of 5 months has passed by and Andrea is well within the mark of 30 seconds for 100 Mts.

One more month till the locals. Will she succeed. What if she fails. It's only the locals. But still this is the stepping stone to her Dream of becoming an Olympic swimmer for Australia.

As all of these thoughts cloud her head and make her a little nervous. She takes a long breath in and then dives into the pool clocking yet another 30 seconds time.

Finally, after a long time of waiting and training the day of the Locals has arrived. Andrea was always on the list from the very first month she began her training at the Saviours Swimming Academy in Sydney, Australia.

Moving on. The race is about to begin.

On your marks. Set. Go.

Andrea jumps into the water and then swims past the rest of her competition like an arrow shot towards a target. She touched the fence and then moves forward to her victory.

Whistle sound.

The winner is Andrea.

Ooh my God. What the hell just happened here. Did I just win. Seriously. Yahoooooo.

Andrea is over the moon right now.

She jumps out of the water and gives a high five to her assistant coach. Being her friend and Assistant coach Andrew reminds her not to get cocky and focus on the states.

"Yeahhh Whateevvvverrrr."

She moves on to preparing for the states.

Unfortunately, this time her cockiness costs her the opportunity to play for the Sydney State Team as she loses to Samantha by 2 seconds.

Bitter with this experience she goes and cries in a corner with her favorite electrolyte water.

I had this one dream and I failed. Should I quit. No not all. I will analyse my mistakes and improve and win. Nobody can stop me from playing for Australia.

She tries to recall everything and Bam it strikes her. Andrew was correct. Her cocky behaviour was what cost her the opportunity to play for the Sydney State team.

Nevertheless, there was another trial scheduled 3 months from now. If she can clear that then she can possibly play for the Sydney State Team. However, she will have to sacrifice her pride that she had built during the local selections.

Even though, she has gotten fond of it she takes the call and decides to let go of it.

Fast forwarding to 3 months from now. It's state selection time.

She remembers the lesson from last time and decides to stay focused.

Boom. She gets selected after clocking a time of 23 seconds for 100 MTS.

One year has passed away and she has made it to the States. As per her estimates this is good progress. But she wasn't expecting this in the first place.

"Mind-blowing" she said to herself. I didn't even know that I was this capable. Now let's go for Nationals. If I can make it this far then I can get there too.

After another 2 years of blood, sweat and toil and a lot of failures, lessons, ups and downs, Andrea has successfully made it to the Nationals.

3 cheers for Andrea Hip-hip hurray, Hip-hip hurray, hip-hip hurray.

And as usual if Andrea can make her dreams come true, then what is stopping you guys from making your weight loss goals come true?
